The salt marshes
A few kilometers from the campsite, discover the famous salt marshes of Guérande, located between the Vilaine River and the Atlantic. Embark on a discovery of the land of white gold aboard a traditional flat-bottomed boat and experience an unforgettable moment with your family.
Whether on your own or accompanied by a guide, explore the salt marshes and discover a preserved fauna and flora. The marshes stretch over more than 2000 hectares around the Traict, Le Croisic, Batz, Guérande, and La Turballe. Today, there are 250 salt workers who harvest 12,000 tons of salt each year!
Discover the salt marshes by horse-drawn carriage, on foot, or by bike, and visit the maison des paludiers.
